About Achata Coaching & Leadership Group
David Achata
DIRECTOR & FOUNDER
David is an author of business leadership books, leadership and team development coach, trainer, facilitator and speaker. He brings over twenty years of leadership experience in organizations, team development and training. He has facilitated and spoken for a wide variety of training events and retreats.
David has worked in a wide array of capacities from high school teacher, to pastor, to organizational health consultant. It was in the environment of church leadership that he began to interact with numerous business leaders in the community from hospital CEO’s to presidents of non-profits. This unique experience gave him a window into the fast-paced world of executive leadership coaching. Achata Coaching Inc. was founded in 2011 to make space for leaders to find vision.
Since then, David has had the privilege of serving top leaders from multi-billion-dollar companies to local entrepreneurs seeking ways to enhance their effectiveness in executive leadership, team development, and leadership development. He’s worked in industries such as health care, manufacturing, property development, semi-conductors, veterinarian services, lumber, tires, aerial firefighting, and more.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Development and is an ICF Certified Executive Coach (PCC). David is a well versed in using the MBTI®, CPI260®, the TKI® and TTI Success Insights® DISC colors. He is a Certified Mentor Coach through the College of Executive Coaching and is a Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team™ Authorized Partner. He lives in the mountains of east Tennessee with his wife and two children where he enjoys trail running, mountain biking, and tinkering with his 1969 Mercury.

Sam is an ICF (International Coach Federation) certified executive coach and holds a Masters Degree in Spiritual Development from Andrews University and a Bachelors Degree in Journalism from Eastern Illinois University.

Pam specializes in coaching and consulting with leaders and their teams to build personal and team resilience in the midst of constant challenge and change. She has an M. A. degree from the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) in Coaching and Consulting in Organizations, an M.B.A. from George Washington University in Information Technology, and an M.S. in Education Administration from Syracuse University. ICF (International Coach Federation) Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
Pam’s experience is experienced and trained in coaching abrasive leaders, facilitating Myers-Briggs workshops, the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, OSI Polaris Competencies and 360 Survey; Newfield Network Coaching (ICF approved program); CPI 260; FIRO-B; Emotional Intelligence EQ-i 2.0/EQ 360; Thomas Kilmann Conflict; Seven Habits for Highly Effective People, 360 degree Profilor, Interaction Associates Coaching and Behavioral Interviewing. She has worked in health care, finance, transit, government, non-profit and high-tech industries and has been a volunteer in the SupporTED program. Pam loves cross country skiing, hiking, cooking and eating fun and healthy food. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
John Laughery has over ten years of leadership, program management, and program development experience. He has worked for a wide range of Government Organizations, non-profit clients, and private industry partners. He has led data analysis mapping programs for design firms and consulted on one of the largest mobility master planning projects on the West Coast. He has lead efforts in the commercial and business baking industry, and worked with major corporate clients in the coffee and restaurant industry in making informed decisions about capital investments through a data driven approach.
John’s expertise is in walking organizations through complex initiatives with a uniquely inclusive and collaborative approach. John cares about developing programs through proactive stakeholder engagement, and being an adaptable facilitator as the needs of the organization shift and morph. He lives in Tacoma, Washington with his wife and daughter./p>
